Role/Expertise
Elisabete R. Silva (ERS) specializes in environmentally friendly anti-biofouling strategies for aquatic systems, primarily involving the development and grafting of active agents in polymeric matrices. ERS supervised 21+ students (7 MSc., 2 PhD, 3 post-docs in the last 5 yrs.), holds 13 patents, and published 50+ peer-reviewed articles (20 in ISI journals in the last 5yrs.). ERS was pivotal in various (inter)national projects, serving as PI/PI-team. Currently, she is leading 2 national projects and holding roles as a Working Group leader and Management Committee member in the Euro-MIC network (CA20130). She is also supervising a granted HORIZON-MSCA-PF.
